Homophone in Chinese – Part 4

Here you continue to learn Homophone in Chinese. They are different in characters, same in pronunciation but different in meanings.

1a. 餐(cān) meal

b. 参(cān) to take part in

Example:

明天(míng​tiān)的(de)晚餐会(wǎn​cānhuì)你(nǐ)想(xiǎng)参加(cān​jiā)吗(ma)？我(wǒ)说(shuō), 我们(wǒ​men)同事(tóng​shì)应该(yīng​gāi)有(yǒu)个(gè)机会(jī​huì)来(lái)交流(jiāo​liú)。这(zhè)是(shì)个(gè)很(hěn)好(hǎo)的(de)机会(jī​huì)。你(nǐ)参加(cān​jiā)吧(ba)。

2a. 药(yào) medicine

b. 要(yào) want to

Example:

在(zài)那(nà)间(jiān)中药房(zhōng​yào​fang)，卖药(màiyào)的(de)问(wèn)我(wǒ)要(yào)买(mǎi)什么(shén​me)？我(wǒ)说(shuō)了(le)几(jǐ)种(zhǒng)可是(kě​shì)一种(yī​zhǒng)都(dōu)没有(méi​yǒu)。我(wǒ)就(jiù)去(qù)别的(bié​de)药房(yào​fang)，那里(nà​li)价钱(jià​qian)比较(bǐ​jiào)贵(guì)但是(dàn​shì) 我(wǒ)所有(suǒ​yǒu)要要(yào)买(mǎi)的(de)都 (dōu)有(yǒu)。

3a. 往(wǎng) towards

Example:

b. 忘(wàng) to forget

Example:

没想到(méi​xiǎng​dào)时间(shí​jiān)过(guò)得(de)​那么(nà​me)快(kuài)。我们(wǒ​men)认识(rèn​shi)了(le)三(sān)年(nián)，一起(yī​qǐ)走(zǒu​)guò)了(le)三(sān)年(nián)的(de)时光(shí​guāng)。明天(míng​tiān)你(nǐ)就要(jiù​yào)回国(huí​guó)了(le)。希望(xī​wàng)你(nǐ)不(bù)忘(wàng​)我(wǒ​)。有(yǒu)机会(jī​huì)可以(kě​yǐ)回来(huí​lai)玩玩(wánwán)啊(a)！
